We hope you are healthy and staying as safe as possible. Thank You for your patience while we have been in this holding pattern. We are sure some of you have wondered about what will happen with the Grand Guardian Council moving forward since we were unable to have Grand Session. We have an answer for you now.
We have heard from the Supreme Guardian Council and the Board of Trustee regarding our questions about how to proceed under the suspension of activities. Supreme responded that our Executive Grand Guardian Council could decide what is best for our jurisdiction within our Province’s Health guidelines.
I have appointed the following Executive officers of the Grand Guardian Council for the following term of office.
Grand Guardian 2020-2021 Donna Purych
Associate Grand Guardian 2020-2021 Roy Bailey
Vice Grand Guardian Cindy Byce
Vice Associate Grand Guardian Kenneth Su
Grand Guide Carmel Bateman
Grand Treasurer Sharon Landrath
Grand Secretary Jennifer Espin
There will be a virtual installation to install these officers into office on Friday, April 10, 2020. The plan is to use the Zoom meeting platform to carry this out.
Announcements will be coming out soon regarding the elections for the stations of Grand Marshal,
Grand Inner Guard and Grand Outer Guard. We feel that it is important to the health and welfare of the Order in BC to continue as normally as possible, with the help of technology.
I would like to thank them for their willingness to serve the Jurisdiction, especially during this trying time. I wish them the very best and know that the Jurisdiction is in very good hands.
Please help me in wishing the 2020 Grand Guardian Council a Magical Year.
Given the uncertainty regarding when our annual Grand Session will be held, we are refunding all money paid to the GGC for registration and housing. Refund cheques are being sent out this week. If you paid through your bethel, please expect to get your refund from the bethel shortly.
From the Constitution and Bylaw Reformat Panel:
The panel is looking for more input for their focus this year: the Supreme Guardian Council Constitution & Bylaws. As per the letter, please share your feedback using the attached survey or by contacting your Liaison directly. The directory for each region’s liaison is also attached.

This is a sad day for the current Daughter and Adults involved with the Bethel and they have made admirable effort to rebuild the Bethel to no avail. There will be a tea to celebrate Bethel #25 at their Masonic Hall and the date will be announced when confirmed.
Kelowna is a growing and vibrant community and I believe Job’s Daughters is still relevant and viable in this city. With the closing of the Bethel, there is an opportunity to form a committee of committed Adults who can take this time to work with the GGC and develop a plan for reinstitution. It can be done. If you are one of those adults, please contact me to express your interest in being part of this group
