I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday season full of love and relaxation! This month I was able to spend time with my family as well as my masonic family and I am so grateful. This month I attended a Christmas tea and Bazaar, the Grand Bethel Santa Breakfast, Maple Ridge Santa Parade, my bethel’s Mystery Trip and Kidnap Breakfast and a majority ceremony in Washington.

This month started with my Bethel’s Christmas Tea on December 1. It’s become a tradition for us to host a Christmas tea and bazaar in our community. We had lots of vendors come and some Christmas music blasting through the event, which I was a HUGE fan of. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported my bethel’s fundraiser! On December 7 was the Grand Bethel Santa Breakfast! I have been waiting for this even this whole year! It’s always a highlight for me. I am so thankful to everyone who came out and joined us for breakfast and of course to all the Grand Bethel girls who helped serve, decorate and plan. You girls never cease to amaze me! Thank you to our cooks and to the Grand Bethel committee for making sure this event went smoothly, and of course, thank you to Santa for coming and adding some more Christmas cheer to this event! Later that night, I went to Maple Ridge to walk in the Santa Parade. We had an awesome car decorated like a Santa hat, and I heard lots of people talking about as we walked! Tons of people came out for that chilly night and we handed out quite a few cards with our information. Parades are one of my personal favourite ways to promote Job’s Daughters! A couple of weeks later it was time for my Bethel’s mystery trip! If you don’t know what a mystery trip is, it’s when the Honoured Queen will choose a special activity for the Bethel Daughters, but she won’t tell the girls where they’re going and surprise them with a fun outing! This term we went to the Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train. It was incredible! Port Coquitlam was the very last stop on their ride and it was great to be with the girls and listen to some Christmas carols and then go out for Hot Chocolate! On December 28, Mrs Peatman, Mrs Purych, Miss

Maia and Provincial Master Councillor Rover all took a road trip down to visit our friends in Washington! I absolutely love road trips! We headed down to Tacoma to be a part of Past GBHQ of Washington Abby’s majority. Thank you so, so much for allowing us to be a part of your ceremony and another huge congratulation goes out to all the girls who received their majority that day. It’s been a long time since I saw a Bethel room as full as that day. It was also lovely to see WGBHQ Ashley and Miss WJD Tori again and to catch up with Past Miss WJD Chloe. Such a treat to see you all again! I finished this month with my Bethel’s Church Parade and Kidnap Breakfast! For anyone who doesn’t know, a kidnap breakfast isn’t quite as intimidating as it sounds: one morning during the term, the girls will get woken up and taken out to breakfast! You can brush your teeth and then off we go in our PJ’s to enjoy a delicious meal together in the morning! I switched it up a bit on us this term. After we all attended a church service, we went to the Honeybee Centre in Cloverdale and had a Kidnap High Tea! It was truly wonderful! Lots of fun had by all and we all got to share some delicious honey flavoured treats! I highly recommend their bee-stro” if you haven’t gone yet!

Time seems to be slipping right through my fingers as we enter into January. I’m so excited to take every opportunity these next 3 months give me and to continue to make lasting memories.

I have been so blessed to get to experience this rollercoaster year with all of you. Here’s to another few months of absolute joy <3

Jobie love,
GBHQ Abbey Macey
