Here we are at February. Only one month left. This month was an exciting one none the less! I was able to attend the Miss BC Tea, the Grand Bethel Ball, the Grand Bethel Mystery Trip, a Demolay Installation in Washington, a Demolay Installation here in BC and I was able to preside as Honoured Queen for 22.

Let’s begin this month with the Miss BC Job’s Daughters Honour Tea. The afternoon was filled with dinosaur decor galore and many lovely words about my partner in crime, Miss Maia. The turnout and the enthusiasm in the room was evidence of just what an incredible job you’ve done representing this jurisdiction Maia. I told you that day, but you have truly made an incredible impact on this jurisdiction. There were kind words shared by all and I this event was able to show you just how much we all truly care and appreciate everything you have done for all of us. Later that evening it was time for the Grand Bethel Ball! A huge thank you goes out to everyone who attended and helped prepare for this event. I am so proud of each and every one of you Grand Bethel Girls and I was so excited to get to have your hard work recognized by the jurisdiction and to celebrate you all that night. It was truly a magical evening (true to the “Enchanted Forest theme!). The next morning it was our Grand Bethel Mystery Trip! We started off with a morning trip to Starbucks. Then it was over to a local playground for a bit of fooling around! We stopped back at the Poco hall for a minute to play a few quick games of Uno and Cheat and then we were off to the Poco Community Centre to do some skating! Thank you so much to our chaperones and to the girls for coming on an adventure around Port Coquitlam.

On February 8th, we headed down to Washington to see the Installation of Chuckanut Chapter of Demolay. It was an incredibly well done ceremony and I am so grateful I was able to attend. The next Saturday I was able to attend another Demolay Installation, this time for Beaver Chapter here in BC. It was an extra special night as we were also able to witness the institution of the Vancouver Northern Lights Alumni Chapter. I was so blown away by seeing the amount of senior Demolay in the room that night. What an amazing experience to see this defining moment in the lives of not only the current members of BC Demolay but also their senior members. Lastly this month I was able to attend an initiation at Bethel 22. Not only was I able to attend, but I was able to preside as HQ over the ceremony, where we initiated 2 new girls. Welcome to the newest members of Bethel 22, you are going to make incredible friends and memories to last a lifetime!

This month has allowed me to finally start thinking about Grand Session and the close of my term. I don’t know if I’m ready for this experience to be over, but I am ready to sit with all of these new memories and just reflect on the opportunity I’ve been given. I am so grateful for everything that has come my way this year, the good and the bad. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. And I am so incredibly excited to finish this year off with a bang at Grand Session and to see who is going to start the adventure of a lifetime as the next Grand Bethel Honoured Queen. Till next time!
