Although most forms are online there are a few things you will still need from me. I will send a new supply list with prices to all NEW Bethel Guardians and Secretaries once I have a list of them.
The new email address to order supplies is: BCJD Supplies
Remember: items such as rituals, financial record books, minute book may be necessary for the new term. Order NOW instead of waiting til September to ensure delivery in a timely fashion.
Thank you to Jeanne Crockart for doing this job for the last three years. Your volunteer work is greatly appreciated.

Supreme Session info
I know it’s only January but I hope some of you have already starting thinking about attending Supreme Session in Layton Utah July 23-29, 2018. As of today (Jan 5) the Session packet has not been published. It will be published on jobsdaughtersinternational.org and the Supreme Session 2018 Facebook page later this month. Session will take place at the Davis Convention Centre in Layton. This year the Session arrangement committee has arranged for 6 different hotels with different price points. All 6 hotels are within 2 blocks of the convention centre, so they are all within walking distance. There will be designated “robe space” in the convention centre, where they will have clothes racks and such for changing so no worries about walking across the street in a robe. As it is always nice for the members of our Jurisdiction to be close to each other while at Supreme, I did some investigating into the hotels with the help of Kelly Costa. This is what I am recommending.
The Hampton Inn, Layton is just behind the convention centre and a very short walk across a parking lot (no streets to cross). They offer free wifi, complimentary hot breakfast, mini fridges, coffeemaker and microwaves in every room. A room with 1 king bed or 2 queen beds is $99 per night. They also offer suites with 1 king bed and a sofa bed or 2 queen beds and a sofa bed for $129 per night. I stayed at a Hampton Inn when I went to Supreme Leadership I can tell you the breakfast was fantastic, waffles, toast, eggs, bacon etc.! We had a queen suite, my only caution is the sofa bed is really only for one person or 2 very small Daughters. I will be staying at this hotel!
The Hilton Garden Inn, Layton is attached to the convention centre but does not offer breakfast. They offer free wifi, a mini fridge, coffeemaker and a microwave in every room. A room with 1 king bed is $129 per night. A room with 2 queen beds is $149 per night. They also have suites available for $149 per night.
For those of you that have RV’s and will be driving down, there are 3 campgrounds nearby. www.playindavis.com I have not looked at this website so I am not sure how far away these are. If you are planning on staying at the RV park please let myself or Edith Peatman know which park you are at and your arrival date.
These are only my recommendations as it is always nice to stay near each other so we can get together when we have down time. Regardless of which hotel you book please let myself or Edith Peatman know where you have booked and what day you arrive. Once everyone has registered we will start compiling a list of the activities everyone is doing and decide a date and location for our BC dinner.
I hope we have a lot of interest from our Daughters and adults!

This is a sad day for the current Daughter and Adults involved with the Bethel and they have made admirable effort to rebuild the Bethel to no avail. There will be a tea to celebrate Bethel #25 at their Masonic Hall and the date will be announced when confirmed.
Kelowna is a growing and vibrant community and I believe Job’s Daughters is still relevant and viable in this city. With the closing of the Bethel, there is opportunity to form a committee of committed Adults who can take this time to work with the GGC and develop a plan for reinstitution. It can be done. If you are one of those adults, please contact me to express your interest in being part of this group
